Tridactyle bicaudata subsp. rupestris

Description

Please see the article on Tridactyle bicaudata subsp. bicaudata. This differs from the other form, which is lithophytic, leaves stiff, curved and up to 60mm long.  

Distribution in South Africa

Restricted to the coast, from Port Elizabeth to southern Kwa Zulu Natal.

Typical habitat

Restricted to the coast, in full sun, from near sea level to 600m.

Flowering Period

This species typically flowers between October to February.   

Distribution elsewhere in Africa

This species is restricted to South Africa and is therefor endemic.
